Avant-garde Australian shaper Daniel Thomson created the Max Keel to address a common challenge in twin-fin surfing: combining pivoty, performance-driven turns with directional stability. “I began riding the Revo Max with the Endorfins Twin + 2 template, and it felt great, but I was struck by how pivoty the board felt because of how narrow the bases of the fin were in comparison to traditional Keel fins,” says Thomson. He designed the Max Keel to have just enough base for directional drive while maintaining the quick response needed for performance maneuvers, creating a truly unique sweet spot for hybrid and twin boards.
