Ding All was founded in 1985 by Dale Christenson as a class project at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. What started as a small idea quickly became a practical solution for surfers who needed fast and reliable surfboard repairs.
Dale began repairing surfboard dings for fellow students in the college dorms. With limited time and growing demand, he created DIY surfboard repair kits so surfers could fix their own boards quickly and effectively. With just $60 and a small 64 sq. ft. utility shed near Vilano Beach, Florida, the first Ding All repair kits were produced.
The original kits were sold at Sun & Surf Shop in St. Augustine, where Dale worked and learned the surf retail business. Over time, the company expanded and introduced additional product lines, including Sun Cure and Surf Source Products.
Today, Ding All operates under Surf Source, based in Atlantic Beach, Florida. Surf Source has become one of the most complete surfing distributors on the U.S. East Coast, offering more than 300 surf-related products to retailers and distributors worldwide.
