In 1973, just 6 short years into shortboard revolution, an era of radical change and fine tuning, a family of board builders in the Basque Country (Spain) entered the picture, and Pukas Surf was formed in 1979.

This soon expanded to bikinis, clothing, multi brand shops and surf contests, eventually becoming the backbone of European surfing and one of the biggest board manufacturers of the world.
