From a young age, they were passionate about extreme outdoor sports including skateboarding, snowboarding, and rock climbing. At 18, they discovered surfing — a passion that would change their lives. Traveling in search of better waves became a priority, shaping both their lifestyle and careers.
Jonathan eventually moved to Durban, South Africa, known for its warm climate and consistent surf. There, he worked as a footwear designer and mold maker while spending as much time as possible in the water. Denis moved to Brazil, drawn by its world-class waves and vibrant surf culture. A turning point came when Jonathan began shaping surfboards and crafting surfboard fins in his garage in Durban. His fins quickly gained attention for their performance, even outperforming the boards he shaped. Local surfers and shapers started requesting custom fins, both for the South African market and for export.
